As a member of the South Florida Express 7 on 7 team, I was fortunate enough to be a part of a National Championship Team. We defeated Team 1925, a team out of California, coached by Keyshawn Johnson. With 15 seconds left and the ball on the goalline, I deflected a pass and sealed the victory for our team. What a great feeling! Everyone stepped up, played big and won the championship as a team.

50 Questions from Wayne Lyons: Interview on ESPN2 First Take.
With my mom and I having many questions, we got an idea from Coach Charlie Partridge of Wisconsin, to send out the questions via email to all the colleges that offered me scholarships. Never did I imagine that things would blow up the way they have. We were simply trying to find the easiest way to ask all of our questions and remember how each school replied. Now the idea has spread nationally. I'm appreciative to each school that has returned the questions. The questions are only one facet as to how I will decide the college of my choice.

March 2010 was a very special month. I spent 6 days in Washington, DC for a National Scholars Leadership Conference. It was really nice meeting students from all over the country. We spent countless hours preparing for decision-making simulations entitled "If I were President", "A Model Congress" and "Testing the Constitution."
I am honored to be named one of the three DBs for the 2011 Sporting News National All-Defense Team.Ranked #10 in the Top 100

Today's seminar topic was "Proper Hygiene and Dress For Success."
The Men of Tomorrow is a youth mentoring program sponsored by
Alpha Phi Alpha Fratenity. High school male students attend bi-weekly
meetings and seminars on various topic to assist us in growing into manhood.
Being from a single parent home, I learn a lot from the men of Alpha. I then
transfer what I learn from them to the elementary and middle school students
that I mentor.

I am proud to announce that I have been selected one of 50 "Old Spice Red Zone Players of the Year." This is truly an honor. Click on the title link above to see the announcement on MaxPreps.
How do you feel:Inside the goal line with my back against the wall my survival instincts kick in. At that point I no longer feel any fatigue nor do I feel any pain. It is as if I turn into a crazy wrecking machine because my body turns numb and I no longer feel anything. I get the anger rage of a man ready to kill and nothing in the world could calm me down. All of my focus is then channeled to the running back or fullback depending on who I'm assigned to and also all of my pre play reads. Once the ball is snapped I tae my read and react at 100 mph.
How you elevate your team:Inside the Red Zone I have a unique way of motivating my teammates. First before the play begins I make sure that they are mentally ready for the play to begin. I do that by jumping through the huddle, screaming and yelling like a mad man to get everyone's adrenaline pumping. I also dish out a couple of strikes to the defensive lines helmets to make sure that they are in battle mode. Once the play takes off is where I get really good at motivating. I am usually called on a blitz in the red zone and I charge the backfield and blast the ball carrier in the back field. Once the team hear the collision in the backfield and see me getting up off the top the intensity automatically rises. At that point the entire defense is motivated and ready to do what I just did.

Monthly I visit middle school students at Attucks Middle School, speaking to them about getting their education, staying out of trouble and peer pressure. A lot of the boys love for me to come so they can ask questions about football, my offers and if I have decided on a college. Of course many of them have their favorites that they feel I should select. Many talk to me about how I balance school and sports. One in particular asked if I would tutor him and help him develop better study habits, yes, he is my favorite because he wants to do better. I am so blessed to have the abilities to reach out to these guys and assist them.
Being dual enrolled allows me the flexibility to visit during school hours, so I have a chance to assist them with work they are working on while the teacher is explaining it to them. So it really works out nice. The principal, Ms. Carle Shaw is really nice and I am grateful she has opened her school to me, giving me the opportunity to work with the students.

Florida State's Coach Stoops and Coach Gran visited me at my high school in early January to inform me that even though they were new to Florida State, didn't even have their business cards yet, they were big on me and was offering me a full scholarship. They are very interested in keeping me in the state of Florida.

Today, I received a visit from Coach Fickell from The Ohio State. Very happy to announce that they in deed offered me a scholarship and informed me that Coach Tressel will be visiting me next week.
Yesterday, Coach Partridge from Wisconsin stopped by my high school to inform me that they too are offering me and he would like for me to come out and visit. Being that I'm from Florida he wants me to think beyond the distance and weather and give Wisconsin a serious look.

It was so much fun being on the sidelines at the 10th Annual Army All-American Bowl Game and being named an Army All-American for 2011 in front of 34,000 plus people. I cannot wait until next year when I play in that game. I'm looking forward to representing the East in that game. This is a video of the announcement at the game.
This is the award I was presented with after being named "Defensive MVP" at the 2010 Army National Combine. It was an great honor being selected as there was 500 kids at the combine and a lot of great athletes with plenty of talent and skills. I had a great time, although it was freezing in San Antonio, Texas.
